Acumatica is a cloud-based ERP system designed for the SMB market. Acumatica includes functionality for financial management, customer management, project accounting, distribution management, manufacturing management, field service management, and multi-channel order management.[1] The main industry focuses of the product are manufacturing and distribution.

Acumatica initially completed SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits in October of 2016. Each year around September the auditors perform a review and provide a new report describing the attestation of our internal controls.[2]


As no product is “one size fits all”, Acumatica offers six editions of product:[3]

  • Commerce Edition
  • Field Service Edition

Cloud offering[edit]

For many small and midsize businesses, deploying Software as a Service (SaaS) provides the benefits of an enterprise-class solution without the enterprise IT budget. Because of that Acumatica system can be hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and can be accessed from any web browser on any Internet-connected device. Acumatica SaaS currently uses Microsoft SQL Server as a database. Other database options exist for private cloud deployments.
